Not only does the American Dental Association recommend a routine dental exam and cleaning every 6 months, but so does Southmoor Dental Group. At your general check-up appointment, the patient will receive a thorough dental examination by our dentist; including cavity detection, oral cancer screening, bruxism evaluation, and sleep apnea concerns. We will access your dental needs and make recommendations based off of our findings and your necessity. The patient will receive a teeth cleaning and polish by one of our dental hygienist. Once a year we will update x-rays. Proceeding with a check-up twice a year provides the frequency to assist in maintaining a healthy smile. To best assist our patients, we offer digital x-rays (which omit a minimal dose of radiation) and we have an intraoral camera where we can provide color photos of your actual tooth to share with the patient and their insurance company.
