Crowns

A crown (or “cap”) is a type of dental restoration generally recommended when a tooth has become more filling than actual tooth. Also, a crown should be placed in most situations after root canal therapy has been completed. The purpose for placing a crown is to protect it from future fractures and improve the ongoing health. However, some patients wish to enhance their smile with crowns. Crown restorations are cemented in place and are designed to not be removable. Here at Southmoor Dental Group, we have our dental lab located in the office. We are able to do custom shading of your crown if needed. We can prepare your crown in Porcelain material or Gold.
